DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

Kutir Sansthan witnesses the Bhagirath- like efforts of our honorable founder. The establishment of the "Faculty of Science" in 1971, was the first flower to blossom in the garden of higher Education. To add to the luster and beauty of the garden, another flower that blossomed, is the "Faculty of Arts" established in 1982. Among varied colored flowers in the garden of learning, is one from english soil i.e. the Department of English.           

The Department started classes in English at under graduate level during the rains of 1982. Dr. V.N. Pandey began to share the department as Lecturer since 2^nd August 1982, Francis Bacon’s preaching "Reading Maketha" full man conference a ready man and writing an "expert man" can serve as a motto to our student who join our department from very entirely rural settlements. For the development of our students skills, books. some specimens of research journals are stocked in central library of the college. To further add and enhance and develop the language skills, the department offers lesson through multi-media, slide projector, computer etc. deep interest in student of english was created through the introduction of COHSSIP of UGC New Delhi. Dr. D.C. shukla worked as lecturer under COHSSIP for two years. Guest lectures were organized to upgraded and update the subject specific knowledge of our students.

The department offers Remedial Coaching Classes in english to encourage students to overcome subject- specific problems from their minds and make them fit for present day standard of the subject.

The department conducts research activities. Five students are pursing their researches and two students submitted their thesis.

The department owes a deep sense of gratitude to the honorable founder who was a very great supporter of English education to our pupils. His illustrious great grandson Dr. Ajayendra K. Dubey also deserves a vote of thanks for providing help in many unforeseen ways.
